I really am asking for insight. I am sorry if my language sounded strong or loaded. It has been pushed in my class to come on with a bold assertion, and as busy as I have been, I did not think to modify my presentation from the class. My goal is both that parents try alternatives before medicating AND that fewer kids be misdiagnosed. I do believe that ADHD is a legitimate disorder, however I have been really shocked at the type of medication given to children - especially children of really young ages - such as two years of age. This is what motivated my strong feelings against the medication - read if you have time:
