Hi. I am new to Special Needs board! :-)

Sorry to jump in with a question...but! We have a 12yo daughter with ADD and Aspergers. She is very oppostional and defiant and has been very aggressive in her attitude lately.

We are in the middle of selling our house in the country to live back in the city to be closer to her karate and my eldest daughter's school, and to cut down on fuel expenses. We just cannot afford to run in and out of town anymore with todays gas prices. We have also had to sell her two ponies (she had also lost interest in them despite being a national level dressage and show rider).

Anyway.... she has been more aggressive lately, is hitting her 14yo sister, and is aggressive in her attitude towards me and her father. She is understandably very angry about her changing circumstances and we have tried to talk to her about it, but she just responds with anger and aggression. She also seems very rigid and is having trouble responding to change - her tidied up bedroom, her furniture being moved, the driveway being resealed etc., etc.

Is this normal for an aspie - to be so rigid and upset over the slightest change in her life?

Thanks for reading! And any tips and tricks for making her life and ours happier would be most appreciated!

Michele~
