Questions about my 7yo ds

My 7yo ds has had speech therapy since age 3 or 4; wears glasses all the time (don't know if that's significant or not but thought I'd throw it in) and I was told initially by his speech therapist this year that he has a problem with auditory processing.

She worked with the AP problem for a while but hasn't done anything lately. She thinks he's improved because he follows her directions for worksheets. I also notice at home, if he has a workbook or sheet in front of him, he's really good about doing what needs done. If he's really interested in it, he'll work on it for a long time. For example, today he worked in his math workbook for almost an hour, just because he wanted to. Or he'll color for long periods of time.

However, he doesn't really enjoy me reading to him, except books about dinosaurs with lots of pictures and one Bible story book we have that is very colorful and very short, simple stories.

However, when I give him directions verbally, he's lost. I can tell him, simply and plainly: "Pick up the trash on the floor" and 2 minutes later he's wondering around lost and I say "What are you supposed to be doing?" and he doesn't know. I tell him again, repeat, then I tell him again and keep reminding him. I often have him repeat it back to me. This doesn't seem "normal" to me but I'm not sure what it is.

He's not exactly "hyper" all the time but he is by far my busiest child. At speech therapy he has to almost always be moving, though he stays in his seat. When he plays GameCube he's always bouncing around, never sitting like the rest of us, etc.

Does this sound like ADHD? CAPD? A combination? Something else entirely different?

Oh.... and he also reverses a lot. Part of that could be that until this year I haven't really sat down to work with him one-on-one. He seems a little more immature than kids his age that are sitting in school all day, so I didn't push it. His 8yo (almost 9) brother reverses, is a little better but still reverses b,p,d,q and reverses when he reads, etc. So it could be the *same* issue?

Lots of questions, I know.... if you have any ideas I'd appreciate knowing how I could proceed with some of this.
