I've been home schooling my son for six years now (he's never been to public school). The problem is that, as a military family, we've moved almost yearly and we never have time to find a support group -so I've been totally winging it from the beginning. I started with Calvert and moved on to A Beka, but I'm not completely in love with that either so we're still looking. I have the book "The Well-Trained Mind" as well as "The Well-Educated Mind", but feel like I'm missing something. Is there an actual Well-Trained Mind curriculum or just the mix-and-match suggestions from the book? Also, does anyone know of a support group in central VA, as we have settled here now? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
