already done so. You say 'he has no learning problems' but it's not clear whether that's from your own observation or from an eval. Some learning problems can be very tricky to spot, and a generally accelerated 5th grader reading at such a low level is a red flag.

Getting an evaluation doesn't mean anything beyond getting additional information. If he has no underlying problems - great, make your decision from there. If he does - great, now you know what specifically to address.
