My fifth grader is reading on a low 2nd grade level. He has no learning problems. He is incredibly smart and works above level in all other subjects. I am trying to decide whether to drop all subjects and concentrate on reading for a few months until he catches up. The fifth grade skills required in the WTM are quite challenging when you aren't reading well. Even though I have been homeschooling for 15 years I am having a hardtime finding the confidence to step back and do only reading for 2-3 months. Feedback?
