We're picking up Singapore Math again. My son is doing 3A. We did about half of it last year, and put it aside for 6 months. I'm doing a quick review (he's retained everything so far...) before going further. During the review, he finally told me that he loves the textbook, and cannot stand the workbook.
I knew he didn't like the workbook so I was already cutting the number of exercises he had to do. He's usually right on the first try too. But not all the time, some chapters he's having trouble (I suspect mainly for lack of interest). Now I'm considering skipping the workbook completely, to keep that twinkle in his eyes. But does it make sense?
I guess I'm intimidated, because so many people complain there isn't enough repetition with Singapore, and here's my son complaining there's too much repetition.
Has anyone done Singapore and completely skip the workbooks?
