... ALEKS to finish out Algebra 1 concepts. At that point, she took the ISEE (entrance exam for selective high schools) and scored 99th percentile as an 8th grader. Her IOWAs were 99th as well.

She's currently making an A in strong proof-intensive honors geometry at a selective private boarding school. She is an amazing problem solver (at least in large part) because of the Singapore approach.

Teach her the tiny bit of stats he needs and don't sweat the slight differences in sequence. What he'll temporarily miss is nothing beside what he'll gain.

Oh, and dd jumped in cold into 4A in the middle of 5th. We just worked fast and filled in gaps and learned to use the rod method and by beginning 6th, she was in 6A. We also supplemented with Challenging Word Problems and the CD's.
