of starting the next thing right away is that it spreads my curricula purchases out throughout the year. I may spend $1000 or $2000 total each year on books/texts but most of it is spread out in $50-$200 every couple months with one major expenditure when we are due for the next Sonlight Core ($500 or so). That works well for me. :)
