what about checking books out of the local library and using them for more learning. Follow the kids' interests and see where it takes them. Maybe unit studies or you could read biographies of famous people, study art or music, learn more about different types of plants or animals (nature journal), learn astronomy, etc... the possibilities are endless, probably why I never run out of school-work and we school all year round.
