I must stay that I enjoy reading your posts. They are informative as well as entertaining.
And I especially liked your confidence--and success--in throwing aside the normal conventions in regard to teaching. It's refreshing.
I'm not sure how I will simplify yet, but I will definitely keep your input in mind. I actually enjoy teaching writing to my kids right now. It's fun for me and not stressful for them. I do adapt the programs to fit us, but I think I need to adapt them more.
I just know that I have to do something different. My 4 yo and 2 yo boys are a handful at the moment. The competition between them is fierce and unpredictable. They're arguing one minute or laughing hysterically the next. And either way, there is physical contact involved. They're just so aggressive compared to my first two children--the older ones are much more the "typical studious" types.
