I'd like to know what you taught for your Upper elementary students. I'm getting to where 4 children under 9 is a lot of work when homeschooling.
And I often have the thought that I'm wasting time. At one time, I used Spelling Workout. I have since moved on to level 1 of Phonetic Zoo, but even that I haven't required my dd to use in months. I'm seeing her spelling continue to improve on it's own. My ds7 is also a pretty poor speller, but without any spelling program, his spelling his also improving, simply from writing.
What subjects did you see as essential for the 4th and 5th grade level? I am trying to eliminate busy work.
