I can relate. I have 4 dc and I would love several more. Honestly, my dh said the same as yours after our first 2 and I couldn't express myself in words to him either. The longing was so strong and like you, I asked the Lord to take the desire from my heart because it wasn't in line with my dh. But it kept getting stronger. So I shut up and gave it over to the Lord and kept praying and God changed my dh's mind. I was pregnant with our 5th baby then I had a miscarriage 2 months ago, and he was very disappointed and wants to try again. This is a miracle to me.
It's not that you are needy. I think God is putting the desire on your heart. Turn it over to the Lord and let Him "speak" to your husband.
