For me personally, it isn't a good enough reason. We have a strong conviction that homeschooling is what God wants for our family for now. One of the things I love best about homeschooling is that my kids are best friends. I want them to fulfill that desire for friendship with each other first. My 9yod is very social, but she enjoys playing with her brother.
I would ask yourselves the reasons that you chose to homeschool and reflect on whether anything has changed with your reasons.
The friendships are not so much built at school as they are after school playing together. At least that was the way it was for me, so you could still make a priority to get together with some kids after school.
