Venting and question about meat...

My son had a friend spend the night. The friend went out to the garage freezer after I was in bed and left it open. I got up and all of the meat was still cold but mostly defrosted. I put it in the fridge. Do you think it's OK to cook and refreeze after? UGH!

• Yes, if it was cold it should be fine. I've always heard that it's fine to refreeze beef, but not chicken or pork. I've refrozen beef, and never got sick from it, fwiw. nt - Elizabeth B. in NC 20:42 Jul 18 (0)
