They have done one round of bcg treatment, now they are on a second. I guess if this one is not successful, he will have surgery. It is hard for me to get a clear picture of what the dr. is saying because I have not talked with him myself, and my dad is not very forthcoming. I can't say if it's "superficial" or more.

The big problem is that my dad does not want to move anywhere or give up any independence. He is supposed to have built a house already. He has been "working" on house plans these 15 years. It's always, "in 6 months we will move this trailer and begin construction"--NOT!

I do have one sister, but she is in MT. The parents are in NC. My sister does help. We are also becoming very concerned with both parents' driving. They live in a fairly rural area so they really depend on driving.

Thanks for your concern! It's so ironic. Dh's parents are considerably older than mine and have so few problems and they are local.
