I've heard they are very hard to get rid and they spread like crazy. I would toss the mattress AND carpet if you have it. I'd also toss the bedding and comforter. Then I'd spray like crazy and sleep on a blow up bed in some other room. After a few days of not seeing any sign of them, I'd order a new mattress, get carpet installed, put new bedding on etc.
Ok, so maybe my plan wouldn't be the cheapest way to go...... :-)
