they might enjoy Silver Lake. (silverlakewaterpark.com) There are lots of playgrounds a such in the area. Kathy covered the free museums. I have to wholeheartedly agree that the Life and Science Museum is great.
There is a great homechool store off Glenwood Avenue. But maybe you are done shopping for the year.
I'm currently in VA. I think I have a book of things to see and do at home! IN NC! I'll see if I remember to look when I get home.
