1. We're doing Shurley 3 this year; I just don't think he was retaining enough from BJU, although I liked the program. There are 24 lessons for Shurley, so I'm planning to do two weeks of Shurley, then one week to focus on writing (I'll be using IEW.). Will that work out well?
2. I want to find a nice journal/notebook for ds's copywork. I thought he'd be motivated to make it something he could show off. Spiral bound would be nice, so it would lie flat. Any suggestions?
