I thought the writing was mediocre, the story was fun to consider, the idea of the divine feminine...

Oh, the twist at the end was contrived, contrived, contrived. The holes in the plot were big enough to drive a Mini Cooper through. And if I hear the words "Eve" and "apple" together one more time from a person who is supposed to have "researched" such things, I may hurl. Oh, and the exchanges between the professor and the so-called "Harvard" students? Puh-lease.

The whole ritual sex thing was pretty funny. Reminded me of Cahill, who is equally an often-over the top and uneven writer.

It left me frustrated that it wasn't done better. It *should* have been done better.
