We were in Colonial Williamsburg one day about a week ago. Every time we go, my son wants to go to the printer (he likes the printing machine). He likes to pretend that he's going to apprentice there.
Anyway, it was a rainy day and it was quiet in the shop, so the men really spent some time with the children and taught them cool stuff.
Then one of the men went outside for his break about the same time we were getting ready to leave, and we got to chatting. My son asked a lot more questions and he kindly answered them.
Then the man asked: "Do you homeschool?"
"Why, yes, we do."
"I can always tell. Homeschooled kids ask the best questions. Private school kids ask better questions than the public school kids, and homeschooled kids ask questions that are even better."
Wow.
We thanked him for taking so much time with us. We had a great day!
Thanks for "listening,"
