We have neighbors that are Chinese and I love the way she just throws things together to cook. She sauteed celery with some garlic - a pinch of sugar and some salt and it was delicious! To me celery is served with dip or carrots or something.
Her cooking is so simple and doesn't use anything exotic but it is so healthy and tastes great. Of course she just "does it" and doesn't follow any recipes.
So is there any cookbook out there that would kinda follow this line of Chinese cooking? It's very different than what I see in a Chinese restaurant - no fried foods etc. - all fresh, lots of vegetables, some tofu,....light sauces,...lots of flavor and very healthy.
just thought I'd ask and see - she just laughs at me when I ask for a recipe... LOL
