The website has many people who rescue guinea's and have dealt with this. I am not sure about the ear.
I have treated our guinea pigs herbally with great success.
Good luck and I think it is wonderful you would take them in that condition.
Our pigs love parsley and bell peppers and we feed them fresh food twice a day. Sometimes we throw in a carrot or chopped tomato. That might help get the weight back on.
