Which location is safest? Has the best reputation?
What are the bills for each house, ie. electricity, gas, water & sewer, garbage pickup, property taxes. It all adds up, especially in an older, less energy efficient home.
Then again, taking on an additional $30K in a mortgage is no small deal either.
See if you can talk to people who actually live in the neighborhoods to get a feel for the locations. Don't just depend on the realtor for that, because they may know numbers but not what goes on in a neighborhood.
