He doesn't make friends easily. While dd11 and ds9 latch on to other children immediately when attending social events, participating on sports teams or in Sunday School or whatever...ds8 just doesn't really do that. He gets along well with other kids, but just doesn't latch on to any one single kid, KWIM? So, he has lots of acquaintances, but no real friends he can call. It's hard b/c ds9 has a friend 2 houses down (a boy he met while in public school) that he sees every day. Dd11 has a great friend in SUnday School, friends from our old church plus her best friend who just moved. So, what do I do and should I be concerned? How do I help him make friends? Side note: dh doesn't make friends easily either. I can tell he's beginning to feel a bit "left out" and lonely (esp. now that we are planning his bday party and he's at a loss as to who to invite!).
