I am asking myself the same question right now. Musings about Motivated Moms...

I can't believe I'm actually going to buy this. I work full time and homeschool 2 plus a 3 year old. Over the years I have tried countless charts for both myself and dc. Last year I had a palm that I used to give me daily task lists. Eventually it became so overwhelming (and this is before I took the full time position) that I had to put away my palm for awhile. If I didn't get everything done the tasks would come back to me as "overdue." I flunked as "Super Mom." I've done flylady as well but didn't last long there as I couldn't keep up with the emails. I have Excel spreadsheets, colorful and beautiful for dc but we get burned out on them quickly everytime we restart them.

So I have resisted even looking at the "Motivated Moms" site. I admit that I will never be one to keep my beautiful hickory cabinets wiped weekly or my telephones disinfected regularly. In another life perhaps. But at this season of my life, all I want is to not die of embarassment if the UPS man knocks on the door unexpectedly.

In looking at Motivated Moms I am thinking that perhaps I can use this without getting totally guilt ridden at what doesn't get checked off. So I have two thoughts on which format I might try. My first thought was to do a page a day. I like that I can assign the chores, check them off and throw the page away. What doesn't get done will surely come around again but won't glare at me. On the other hand, I wonder if we would get more done overall in a week if we used the weekly format and did a few extra chores on days we had more time. Hmmm...so I haven't answered any part of your question but I am actually excited about giving this a try. I hope you get some responses so I can make my decision and get started. Either way, I am determined that I will not make housekeeping what others think about first when they think about me - either that I am immaculate or that I am a disaster!
