If he is paid her over $1,500.00 in 2007, he was obligated to withhold & pay her FICA & FUTA taxes. She is legally obligated to report all income that she receives. If she did all the work (sm)

in his home, she *probably* would not be considered self-employed, but you should check that out more thoroughly. If she earned under $1,500 from him, she is not liable for FICA/FUTA.
