I'd definitely buy the house I liked the most, with the most space, and the best deal. Having more neighborhood kids around can be both a blessing and a curse. I don't expect my house's location to provide friends for ds; if he makes good friends on our street, great. But we have lots of other places to make friends. And bad influences, bullying, etc., can come with having neighborhood kids to play with, too.
Both houses look really great! I'm envious of the housing prices there; our house is only 1700 square feet with a medium-size yard, and costs more than either of those!
I've always wanted to live in a Victorian house, though, so I'd have to go with that one. Plus, 3750 sq. ft. and a big lot!
