Finally have a new Dr. and had my first visit, I am alway anemic- I expected that part...but he said I was really, really low..I came in at a 10, he said an 8 would need at least iron shots, maybe a transfusion. An 8 sounds close to 10...but what are we measuring here? and does anyone know how close is that really from 10 to 8? Am I going to pass out while driving? I go back to the lab tomorrow for more specific iron tests, then in 2 months to make sure it's not lower. He said I won't feel better for 4 months.
My red blood count is low, because of this, and my blood volume is low too- I guess I rule out any grand new year exercise goals.
I am always tired...kind of validating to know it's not that I am lazy.
So, would menstruating send me to an 8?
