I had her read pages from the Victory Drill Book. I didn't use the book as intended. It's to speed up reading. I used it to help her slow down and read the words correctly. I told her it was more important for her to read the word correctly than to read as many as fast as she could. We didn't do this for very long. A week or two at most was all she needed to slow her down. It could be that she outgrew it on her own too. I notice that she does better when she gets into the flow of writing. She had a difficult time with the first couple chapters of Pinnochio. Once she got used to the sentence structure's rhythm, she did well.
