You can use caulk to glue it down and if you only use a *tiny* bit, you can peel it up later so that the tracks can be reconfigured. If you use too much caulk, it can damage the tracks if you try to take them apart.

I wouldn't want to do anything permanent, because much of the fun of playing with these sets is rearranging them. I just did this for a while when ds' little sister was taking apart his tracks every time she could. ;o) By three or four, my kids haven't had any problem at all with keeping the tracks together when they wanted them together.

You can get a toothpaste-sized tube of clear caulk adhesive at any hardware store for a couple of dollars... Just don't use too much! :o)
