We've got a pack of wild dogs that used to come around here. It's been awhile, but I'm sure they'll be back eventually. Dh is not around much, and particularly is not around when they would be.
Let me tell you, a couple of well-placed shots and we have not seen them around here for a few months.
I'm not a huge fan of guns, but let me tell you, I value me being able to walk to the mailbox without being threatened or my kids being able to play outside without being mauled far more than any squeamishness about shooting a gun.
