I am from Oregon, a single mother of 20 months. I am the only parent in the picture as exDH has lost his parenting rights. I sent the 3 older children to school after the divorce (ive homeschooled for the past 7 years) but almost immediatly regretted that choice. I now am homeschooling my 5th grade daughter, but my 6th and 10th grade daughters are still in public school, and I have no plans to bring them home. I also have a soon to be 5 year old girl doing K and a soon to be 3 year old boy, who I have no intention on starting homeschooling anytime soon, hes a wild man!
I came here because I have always enjoyed classical homeschooling style. I love the flexibility and creativity it gives. I came to these boards a bit years ago but didn't really post often.
What else, hmm I live in Oregon, go to college full time pursing a degree in Sociology and womens studies. I work with pregnant teenage girls (and parenting). I also volunteer as a victim advocate with a local battered womens shelter 2 days a week (partial days) and I am a sexual assult victim advocate also, on call one week a month.
I guess that sums me up in a nutshell, I also am christian but going through alot of processing right now on where my faith lies (not questioning God, just how to practice my faith)
So, I think that covers it!
