reviews on spelling workout

I have been reading some reviews of spelling workout and they all seem to be negative. A lot of them say there isn't enough practice to retain anything, and it seems as though there is a lot of busywork. Anyone agree or disagree? This was the spelling curric. that I was going to use, but now I'm having second thoughts.
