If you used or are using Omnibus with a 7th grader, would you give me some advice, please? (m)

I have one more year (6th grade) before dd will start Omnibus in 7th. She is a strong reader and writer, but I am wondering what I can be doing to prepare her more fully. What did you do or would you do differently to make sure your dc was ready for using Omnibus in 7th grade? TIA!!
