I did that with my second child, but my poor first child was my experiment. I tried to be too much like "school". At that age, they don't need school style structure. I would have loosened up, played more, went on more field trips, and enjoyed my oldest son being 4 and 5. I can't go back and redo that, but I can tell others such as yourself to relax and enjoy. There's plenty of time to get to the real school work. Now that we are in 3rd grade, we have more work to do.
