Wall Timeline Questions....

My kids are 7,6,almost 5, and 1. So A LOT of detail is not important right now. I want to include what we learn in KONOS and some other major events. Just to give them a broad overview of where things are.

I just made a snake timeline on two pieces of poster board. NOW I have no idea how to "date" them. I was thinking one poster for BC and one for AD.

There are 7 lines on each poster. (Orientation is portrait not landscape.) I want to start from the bottom and go up.

Which eras need more/less space? Or should I just divide it all evenly? I thought I knew what I was doing. Now I'm lost!
