It had side bars in one color and one size font, but the pages themselves were in white with a larger size font, and bars of color highlighted those things that were important to remember. It drove me wild. From what I could see, it would be a good book for those who like a "no nonsense give me the facts" kind of format, but the color bars confused my daughter and me.

Thinking about it now, I think our synesthesia (mixing of senses, ie; colored hearing, tasting shapes, etc.) was the main problem. An important fact to me will be automatically highlighted in my own color, and to have them prehighlighted (in the wrong color, no less,) was incredibly confusing.
