...the only significant changes that have been made since 1984 are corrections to typos and the removal of a chapter on Basic computer language. I've used the 1984 edition (with my oldest), and the 1994 edition with the next three of my dc. The teacher's edition doesn't necessarily have to be identical to the edition of the student text. They're cross-compatible among editions with very little variation.

You can purchase the "Classic" edition (1999, I think) of the Algebra I text directly from the publisher. Other editions are available from Follett or from By Way of the Family.
