1) Please could you discuss the pros and cons of art school vs. a 4 yr degree in art? Dd (10th grader) thinks she might be interested in art education or in art therapy.
2) What if everything I'm seeing so far is copied, to learn art techniques? Is there a difference between an artist vs. someone with good technical skills? Should I be concerned and try to nurture her own self-expression, or is that something that will come with time and ability?
I was going to upload one of her portrait drawings to Flickr, so you could see her work...I'm a proud mama, but certain that I'm biased, as well...but Flicker won't take a big file.
