I looked at Bluestocking Press's books, but decided they were not high school level books imo. Some folks do use them, though:
Whatever Happened to Penny Candy (series)

Some people recommended a couple of books, which I did purchase and found very interesting:
Economics in One Lesson

Sowell's Basic Economics

But my dd decided she wanted a textbook, so we tried Bob Jones. Two chapters into it, and my dd said it was so full of details and the tests were miserable--then she found out her friend (with a ACT of 33) said the book was like that all the way through--and she gave up trying to figure it out and took a B for the class...well, we dumped it.
Someone then suggested that ABeka's was very good and written by a well know economist--and we stayed with that one. My dd thought it very good.
FWIW,
Jean
