SOS Science? Opinions and advice wanted!

My 13 and 14 year-olds have started Apologia Physical Science and although it's going OK, it's not going beautifully. I'm not science minded myself and am having to spend a lot of time teaching my younger dc.

I'm wondering if something like SOS Science might be good for them but have no idea on the quality of it as a high school curriculum.
