It wouldn't take much of a stretch to create an independent study program to take advantage of the current political season. There are all sorts of aspects that could be worked into this (public speaking, writing, research skills, government, economics [while researching policy aspects], even history).
She might find that a candidate for state or even local office would have a great place for her. On the other hand, a national candidate (either Congress or presidential) might have a larger organization for her to fit into.
